    Our dietetics and medical nutrition department serves as an integral part of patient care. 
    How can your dietitian help you: 

    Counselling of the patient and family is a core activity carried out which leads to better understanding of the diet plan. 
    Diet therapy is concern with the modification of the normal diet to meet the requirements of the risk of the individual 

    • To maintain good nutritional status 
    • To bring about changes in the body weight whenever necessary, child obese 
    • To maintain uncontrolled diabetes, pre-diabetes and gestational diabetes. 
    • Counselling about food drug interactions 
    • Pcod 
    • Sever anemia 
    • Gestational blood pressure 
    • Under weight 
    • Gastrointestinal problems like diarrhea, constipay, ulcer, gas trouble, indigestion, carcinoma of the stomach, dumbing syndrome, coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease

    Nutritional assessment and re assessment of the patient is done regularly ; this is to identify patients who may have nutritional problems and to address those needs within a reasonable amount of time. 

    All patients who are admitted for more than 24 hrs, are to be screened for nutritional risk. 

    The patient bystander must receive instructions from the clinical dietitian on modified diets specific to the patient's assessed needs and ability. 

    All patients are visited dietitian at least once during the day. Inpatient and outpatient consultation .
